Following the route passes through some villages on the way to Saalfelden. From there onwards the first bigger climb on a forest track starts underneath the stone sea, up to the “Bürgerberg” and further on to the “Fürstenbründl” above the “Maria Alm”. The track continues with a racy descent on nature trails down to the “Maria Alm”. Small roads lead across to the “Ritzensee”, the scienic swimming lake of Saalfelden. After that nature trails are passing through the “Kollingforest”. Following a short descent the route is splitting at the outskirts of Saalfelden. The short track continues on a beautiful nature path at the” Wiesengrund” and leads back to the route outlined above, through some villages, along the “Ullachtal” and “Sonnberg” back to Leogang and over the finish line.

Later on the route continues on nice forest tracks, it’s the panorama lap with a scenic view of the “Hohen Tauern” up to the “Asitzgipfel”, the most popular mountain of the skiing area Leogang. Now the descent to Leogang starts on forest trails followed by the most challenging part of the marathon – the “Matzalmtrail”. It’s the first season that this trail is officially opened for mountain biking, so the trail is foremost nature like and contains a lot of rootage and stones. This descent demands as much technical skills as concentration. A short climb over the “Pirzpichl” leads back to Leogang and over the finish line.

The participants of the long track continue in Leogang along the finish line onto an extra lap towards “Schwarzleotal”. Comparatively to others this climb starts quite level, but gets steeper at the end of the valley. From there onwards the track is leading back with a last flowing descent from the middlestation of the “Asitzbergbahn” down to the Bikepark Leogang. After the Flowlink only the Hangman 2 follows, a trail with steep curves and waves – one of the most fun trails in the Bikepark. After a few meters the finish line in Leogang is reached.
