The 'DownChill Workshop' with Jasper Jauch was varied and less chilling than the title would suggest. Here, downhill skills were tested, trained and polished. The large and colourful group presented Jasper with a new challenge, as he normally conducts his training sessions with fewer participants. "I was a bit sceptical at the beginning whether it would work well with the large and mixed group," Jasper admits. The level of the participants ranged from beginner to advanced, the youngest biker is just 13 years old, the oldest more than 40.
"But after only a short time I noticed that everyone harmonised really well. Moreover, the bike park here has something for every level," Jauch continues. His protégés are also satisfied and report only positive things. "Simply a great guy and super technique training," says Jörg Haselbacher happily after the workshop. The youngest, Rina Ferner, also speaks of a "cool, funny Jasper", from whom she learned above all how to turn properly.
It's this great mix of sport and 'after-bike chilling' with cool people that makes this event so special, explains Jasper, while enjoying a cool drink with his participant from the workshop.
Tomorrow there are many more test rides, workshops and side events to enjoy in a perfect mix of biking in the middle of one of Europe's biggest bike parks and casual chilling in the expo area. So you can look forward to another wonderful day.
